Institutional Linkages

Demonstrating a model of conservation and local resource- based livelihoods has meant that there needs to be an engagement with the state organizations for sharing learning, and networking with similar initiatives. The Kaigal team members have been working with resource persons and institutions engaged in education, biodiversity conservation and documentation besides working with community enterprises and government bodies.

  • Establishment of Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) in and around Kaigal as Technical Support Group to the APSBB
  • Technical Support Group for the Foundation for Revitalisation of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT) Trust for BMC and Access Benefit Sharing
  • Participation in events and exhibitions against invitation from the Small Grants Program of the United Nations Development Program as Global Environment Fund (GEF) Partners
