The range of products developed after research at Kaigal have evolved around value addition to the non-timber forest produce and farm produce in the area familiar to the local rural population and meeting the needs of the urban population. Most resources are naturally grown in the wilderness and hence ‘organic’ by definition.

Products currently made generally come under the heads of Kitchen Staples, Pickles and Spreads, Herbal Infusion, Health and Wellness, Personal Care ,Cleaning Products and Hand-crafted products. Attractively packed, most of them come in glass bottles with metal caps being bio-degradable and in Pouches, also made of bio-degradable paper. Cotton Carry-bags, Face-masks and Macrame items meet the ‘made-to-order’ market.

Popularity of the brand is largely by word of mouth, happy consumers being the best sales force.

  • Branded ‘Kaigal’, the products are available through over 50 Retailers of organic products, most of them in Bangalore and the rest in other cities. The website gives a brief list of the Retailers.
  • Products- at- the- consumers’ doorsteps has been another means to reach the products to consumers by retailing at Schools and Colleges, Apartment Complexes, Industries, Office Complex, etc. Some of the Retailers arrange for door-delivery to save time and effort for the consumer.
  • Products are also developed and made exclusively for other organizations carrying a different brand name.
  • Products are also Gift-Packed- to- order to meet the needs of events like Weddings and Festivals, besides as a complementary give-away in organizations.
