DRY NEEM FLOWER CHUTNEY POWDER

This Chutney Powder can be mixed with hot cooked rice and had with perhaps some fried Kaigal Sago Sandige as a side-dish to go with it. It can also make a good side-dish by itself with curd rice.

  • Mixie (Dry grinder)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tsp Dry Neem flowers
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 cup Toor Dal
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tsp Green Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ghee or Cooking oil

Instructions
 

  • Sauté the mustard seeds till it splutters completely
  • Add curry leaves and toor dal. Sauté in low flame until it turns light brown in colour.
  • Add pepper and neem flower and roast it until you get a mild aroma of the flower.
  • Take it off the stove. Add salt, and mix it .
  • Grind the mix after it cools to a fine powder.
